Born and raised in a small Ukrainian town with a population of just 15,000, Alina grew up in a modest family with parents who held conventional jobs. However, from a young age, Alina displayed a huge love for creativity. Whether it was participating in school competitions or exploring various artistic endeavors like painting, sewing, and knitting, she always found herself drawn to the world of creativity.
It was a chance encounter with a makeup tutorial video on VKontakte, a popular social media platform in Ukraine, that sparked Alina’s fascination with makeup artistry. Despite limited resources, she embarked on her makeup journey, starting with just a blush powder borrowed from her mother. Determined to pursue her passion, she searched and saved money to afford her first makeup palettes from MAC and Urban Decay. Though not authentic, these palettes still served their purpose.
Alina’s journey was not without its challenges. In a society where makeup artistry was not always recognized as a legitimate career path, she faced skepticism and doubt from her peers and even her own parents. However, she pursued her dreams, starting with an eyebrow course before eventually delving into makeup training.
At the age of 18, Alina’s path took an unexpected turn when she met her former fiancé and temporarily put her career on hold. However, realizing her true calling, she recommitted herself to makeup artistry, enrolling in advanced courses and improving her skills.
With determination, Alina made her mark in the makeup industry, earning a reputation as one of the most talented artists in her city. But her ambitions didn’t stop there. Moving to America in search of new opportunities, she faced the difficult task of establishing herself in a new market. Through perseverance and hard work, she gradually built a name for herself, attracting high-profile clients and prestigious projects.
Throughout her career, Alina has collaborated with renowned brands such as Levi’s, Bellami, Barostim, Zhilyova, JIV athletic wear, and many others. She has lent her makeup artistry expertise to music videos, including projects for Joe Bonamassa and various other artists.
Today, Alina’s signature style revolves around enhancing natural beauty, emphasizing light tones, airy eyebrows, and subtle eyeliner. Her love for her craft extends beyond the artistry itself; it’s about the freedom of expression, the joy of transforming her clients, and the relationships she forms along the way.
