Since the dawn of the global pandemic in 2020, several entrepreneurs have been pushed toward the edge, with some deciding to close their businesses down for good. It was a challenging time in the commercial landscape, most specifically in the media and entertainment sectors. While many suffered throughout the pandemic, a significant number of personalities succeeded in defying the odds and rising above. One of them is Victor Migalchan, an esteemed visionary in movie and TV production.
Despite the many challenges that came with the global health crisis in the year 2020, Victor Migalchan together with his partner, producer and mentor Edward Cologna, managed to make significant strides and breathed life into several onscreen projects. Through these successes, they not only aim to grow the business but also serve as a source of inspiration for other aspirants, empowering them to never give up in the pursuit of excellence and go beyond the norm.
From the get-go, Victor Migalchan has always envisioned taking the reins of a studio one day. Packed with the discipline he honed during his years as a martial artist and his work ethic, this power player works hard and manages to release tremendous projects over the past few years alongside his partner Edward Cologna. The dynamic duo has been making TV shows and films while developing a team of like-minded professionals who share the same brilliant vision.
In 2022, Victor Migalchan and Edward Cologna, with their team, had a productive year despite the challenges brought by the pandemic and economic recession. They managed to create, develop and film several projects such as the first season of the educational reality show for kids and teens “Life Academy,” the first season of the talent show “OnAir,” three pilots “Modern Kung Fu”, “Fashion Insider” and “Futurization,” and a documentary feature film based on the life story of MMA Legend and world champion Cung Le.
In total, since 2020, the team has produced four shows, including the first seasons of “My American Family” and “Dragon Chef.” They developed partnerships with distributors in the US, the UK and Brazil. Now the EU and Argentina are in the process of negotiations. The team is not stopping there and is looking to continue its productivity in 2023. Victor is also planning to film another documentary feature about the life story of Oculus VR creator Jack McCauley and produce a new TV show with the London Fashion Week team called “The New Face of the Fashion World” to find and train new talents in the fashion industry and bring European quality fashion to the United States America.
In addition to these projects, Victor’s team has two feature drama films in pre-production, an educational animation series for kids and another “very important project”, shared Victor. It will be another documentary feature, which we develop together with my mentor Edward Cologna and one of the best lawyers in the US Yanky Perelmuter “Heritage: stories of kids of the Holocaust Survivors”. We kindly ask them to share with modern kids their knowledge and how they were brought up by their parents. We are blessed to have so much support, especially from Rabbi Abba Perelmuter. Together with Celebrity Doctor – Chiropractor Marwan Chahayed we develop another spicy sitcom, which will bring quality humor to our viewers. The team will also be continuing to release previous projects such as “Life Academy,” “OnAir,” and “Dragon Chef.”
Victor attributes his ability to manage multiple projects to proper time management and his competitive martial arts background, which he says helped shape his personality, character, and will to succeed. “There is only plan A, there is no plan B. With the support of God, my great ancestors, parents and my mentors such as Edward Cologna, Cung Le – I cannot fail” said Victor. He has set high standards and goals for himself and believes in the importance of quality over quantity and timing. In addition, he is driven by a desire to create what he believes the world needs: proper education for kids and teens, inspiring stories, and real-life motivation.
On top of the long list of films set to be released in 2023, Victor also aims to focus more on the business side of things and educate hopefuls with the tricks of the trade. Victor Migalchan’s goal has always been to serve as a source of not just inspiration but also knowledge and help others succeed. Armed with this desire to impact lives, he also plans to publish his book next year entitled The Showrunner, which is “basically a business blueprint of making a tv show,” shared Victor. After multiple seminars and masterclasses held by Victor Migalchan in different states and an online one held for the UK filmmakers, the team decided that together with the book they will also develop a video course with a carefully selected work group of filmmakers. “I wish to share as many details and knowledge as those who wish to succeed would need. We can withstand the recession, but no one will win if we fall into an economic depression. Only more businesses creating more quality products and jobs will keep our economy safe. Now I focus on film and television. Later it will be something different. At the same time, I keep learning and developing myself. I am very happy and proud to see the results of our hard work, especially when we see how our talents Nicole Lee, Veronica Gnip and Josslyn Banh develop and grow as artists and human beings. That is a real victory!”
Time and time again, Victor Migalchan has proved that one can bounce back after a fall. As he continues to fight for the reins of the movie production industry, he aims to expand the horizons of his production projects while also elevating the industry with grace. Above anything else, Victor aims to inspire aspiring powerhouses to continue persevering no matter how difficult the path may be.
